Things to prepare to Bangkok, Thailand

It was around mid October 2019 when my friends and I finally bought our tickets to Bangkok with a promotion price at around MYR300+ for round trip. Our departure date was on mid January 2020. Kinda exciting trip with a brunch of mates together.

5 days 4 nights Bkk trip was kinda full and fun trip. Here are some tips that are useful for you if you are planning your trip to Thailand.

1. Get yourself a sim card before travelling.
We purchased online though Lazada platform with a reasonable price. Remember to get prepared if you don't want to pay for a double price sim card over there.

2. Prepare a pen for immigration
A handy pen would help you to save up your time as you can fill up the arrival card to submit in the Thai custom an hour before you land in Bkk. You can get the arrival card from the flight crew.

3. Prepare small notes for public transport
It is convenience to travel using the public transport there. However, it is not convenience if you pay using 1000 baht for an only 14 baht trip. Try to prepare small notes for easy change. Be sure to travel more with BTS and MRT for budget trip.

4. Plug adapter

Thailand's power supply is 220 volts at 50 hertz. You might need a voltage converter if your electrical devices can't accept this. I bought universal adapter with me during my trip.

5. Enough money
I'm sure you don't feel like searching banks to withdraw cash over there as it might be inconvenience during the trip. However, be sure to keep your cash safely, avoiding pick-pockets.

6. Survey before buying
As there are no barcode in the market, thus compare the price of an item before paying. You can barter, but in a polite way as a respect. Remember you can only do it in the market, but not the shopping complex.

7. Learn some Thai word
You can learn thank you in Thai (khop khun khrup/ka) as you will be using it often. Moreover, why not learning Sorry, may I know where is the toilet in Thai (Hong nam yoo tee nai khrup/ka)? That's interesting, in case you need it in urgent?

8. Plan ahead
Truly you had full-filled this when you are reading my post. Make sure you plan your trip ahead as you wouldn't want a bad journey and memories in your trip. However, there are always uncertainty, solve it, move forward and embrace it!
